Perfect Love Tis But A Dream
Everyone has those dreams of one day finding that person who is perfect for them, their Knight in shining armour of sorts, and just as well all of these people expect to turn out like the stories from popular media like Grease or Cinderella. Here's the thing that I've noticed though, is that most of the time sadly, they don't turn out like that. A fair amount of high school flings might not make it past sophomore year of college, if it manages to get past sophomore year of high school first. High school level kids and college attendees alike are normally very touch and go in this sense, as it is their first stab into this realm of finding out who they are, and who they'll love later in life, and yes, that was supposed to be a double entendre. And of course, what fling wouldn't be complete with, and I do mean this the nicest way as possible, accidental procreation? Pregnancy in high school is a big issue, but getting knocked up in college is normally a lot more scathing. High school you've hopefully got parents or someone to help you look after your new bundle of love as well as continue to get an education, but what about college? Most people want to go to college to get away from their parents, and will have a dorm or rent an apartment, so who's going to look after your baby? Now this may just be how I was raised to not end up like my father, but save the baby making for once you know what you're doing in life. But, I started this off as "Accidental" Procreation, not planned. This makes life so much harder, knowing that out of know where a child that you created had been born, and both you and the new mother need to make a decision so that this child can get a decent shot at life. I'll probably do a followup on this later.
